Colorful Colorado
Only a couple months ago, if someone had told me where I’d be today, right now, I wouldn’t have believed them. Here I am in Boulder, Colorado, still in the process of relocating, and loving every minute of the stressful but exhilarating ride these last few weeks have been.
We decided to move here about one month ago, and have been taking steps to make it happen ever since. After strategically packing our two Toyota’s, (including one curious cat), we finally arrived in Boulder last Sunday night, following the moon as it set behind the Rockies and gave us a beautiful start to our new adventure.
Since Monday we’ve stayed busy playing out, meeting and connecting with great people and musicians, and getting acclimated to our surroundings. Monday night we played at The Larimer Lounge along with several other great acts including The Canvas Waiting, Forget Me Not, Long Live the Liar and Calibrate Me. Peter Washington, a talented photographer and blogger from Concerted Effort, included us in a great blog he wrote about the show that night. Thank you Peter!
Tuesday night we hung out and played an open mic hosted by Danny Shafer at Conor O’Neills; a great Irish Pub in Boulder. And just as a side note, open mic nights are fantastic! Every time we’ve played one we’ve been rewarded with a great experience and new friends–I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this trend continues!
We’ll keep you posted on our adventures in Colorado and beyond as the year goes on, so keep reading! Thanks for checking in and stay in touch!
Shine On,
Marywood Kate
